Privacy Policy
TheAuroras.com supports initiatives to safeguard the privacy of personal information on the Internet. Accordingly, we have adopted a privacy policy and related procedures designed to protect any information you share with us.
Information We Track
If you do not complete an Aurora Entry profile, we do not collect any personally identifiable information about you. We do log your IP address (the Internet address of your computer) to give us an idea of which pages on our website are the most popular. Third party tracking software is used to aggregate such information as what pages are visited most frequently and which files are downloaded most often. We use this information as part of our ongoing effort to improve the effectiveness of the TheAuroras.com website.
People who complete an Aurora Entry Profile are asked to provide their name, state of residency and specific details about projects they are entering for judging. This information is kept strictly confidential, in a secured and encrypted environment. This information remains confidential and individual projects, once submitted, are judged solely on their merits and the owner or submitter of the material is not known to the judges until after the Aurora Awards ceremony, Aug. 2, 2008.
Only details about individual projects -- but not that of the submitted themselves -- are provided for purposes of marketing and promoting the award-winning entries.

Information Use
Information submitted will be used by TheAuroras.com staff to facilitate judging processes only. Your name and/or email will not be posted or otherwise used on the site itself. If we offer additional services in the future, we will announce them on this website and tell you how to access them. We will not sell your information or share it with any third party.
When creating an Aurora Award Entry Profile you agree that we may communicate with you via email with questions or issues regarding your entry. We will likewise use your email to solicit future entries unless you expressly ask to be removed from our judging system.
All entries become the property of the SEBC/Aurora Awards. The SEBC may publish and/or reproduce entries in its publication as well as grant permission for the entries to be published or reproduced in any trade, consumer publication or product.
We do not contract with any advertising or marketing agencies to gather individual or group profile information on our visitors. TheAuroras.com does not host or target for-profit advertising to visitors.
