Judges comments:

"TipTop Haus was recognized for it's innovation and incorporation of sustainable materials in the Energy Efficient and Green Construction categories as well as good design and livability in the Custom, One of A Kind category."

— Kathy Browning, CMP, MIRM, CGP, Owner/Principal Designer

"Tip Top Haus  The LEED rating, which was slightly lower than another contender in this category, was the only reason why I didn't give this home the top spot. However, the efforts of the builder to educate not only the public but the trades on energy efficiency and green building were exceptional and make this home a standout in both Green Construction and Energy Efficient Home categories."

— Camilla McLaughlin, Writing for Real Estate, Salt Lake City UT

Tip Top Haus, Best of Show

"Awesome integration of inside and out, superior energy efficiency, innovative architecture and outstanding interior merchandising."

— Gian Hasbrock, MIRM, MCSP, CGP, CRS, Critical Wheel/Wowism, Durham, NC

The Lift Wellness Center also earned lofty praise from the judges, and is currently registered for LEED NC Silver certification.

This wellness center, which follows a medical model of preventative healthcare, is the anchor of a mixed-use, infill "healthy community" in downtown Jackson, Tennessee. The wellness center's interior spaces were designed to enhance the users' sense of well-being.

Abundant daylight, a warm and nature-based color and materials palette, intuitively organized spaces, creative lighting, and residentially-influenced furniture project comfort in the clinic spaces and energy and vitality in the fitness spaces.

The 81,606-square-foot center houses a full fitness facility, indoor climbing wall, full-size basketball court, an indoor swim and exercise pool, therapy pool, whirlpool, spacious locker rooms, group exercise and yoga classrooms, a demonstration/teaching kitchen and a healthy café. An indoor walking track overlooks the neighborhood and downtown skyline.

A classroom provides space for classes, programs, events, and medical services designed to educate the community about living healthier lives. A therapy suite offers physical, occupational and aquatic therapy and is fully integrated within the main fitness areas as an inspiration to patients. A comprehensive medical clinic offers preventive and curative care as well as treatment counseling, completing the healthy community circle.

In addition to its goal of improving the health and wellness of the neighborhood and the city, the center also strives to encourage overall environmental well-being and is currently registered for LEED NC Silver.
